Opportunities for graduates

VarTech Solutions welcomes exceptional graduates and post-graduates with a blend of technical understanding, interpersonal skills and commercial awareness.

Candidates must have following qualifications:

• a long and solid university background, normally a good honours degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. mathematics, physics, engineering) with some programming experience;
• if you have other education curricula, you will need to demonstrate a strong interest and familiarity in our areas of business.

Whatever your background, you must be comfortable working in entirely client-facing roles and hence have strong communication skills.

Some of our graduate positions involve system implementation activities. If this interests you, you will need to have development skills, particularly involving object-oriented analysis and design techniques.

VarTech Solutions is actively recruiting and the profiles below reflect our current needs for client-facing consultancy positions in the business and IT area.

Core skills

The skills below are required to all our experienced applicants:

• methodology and consulting basics,
• good communication skills,
• good team working skills,
• effective presentation skills,
• personal productivity software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).

Commercial experience

Applicants for consulting positions must possess at least 2 years consulting experience with a major consulting firm or at least 4 years of general IT industry experience.

Generally applicants will need to possess a strong academic record and excellent client-facing skills. Commercial experience is welcomed by applicants for programming positions but not strongly required.

Business knowledge

Applicants must have experience in completing systems analysis projects that include business requirements definition, systems design, and structured test case development.

An understanding of design and development methodologies is required; object-oriented and/or UML modeling experience preferred.

These positions involve working with users, gathering requirements, analyzing data, testing, and working closely with clients and programmers.

Technical skills
